Does anyone know who the lads were doing the chip tunes in the bar, and is it available for purchase/download?

What is Revival?

Over the weekend of the 18th and 19th May 2013 we will be launching our first Retro Expo event that we have called Revival. The event will be annual and will be 100% retro - celebrating gaming and nostalgia throughout the 70's, 80's and 90's. We have some great partners in The Retro Computer Museum, The Centre for Computing History and Attic Bug and together we plan to put on the largest retro only event in the UK.

What will be at the event?

There will be over 60 arcade machines, pinball tables and over 130 retro systems for visitors to play on for free once inside the venue. We will also have many traders that will cater for all your retro gaming needs.

Who is on the guest list?

We have many guests from the retro gaming world coming along for the weekend - ex-Ocean employees including Bob Wakelin, Simon Butler and Bill Harbison, Archer Maclean, The Oliver Twins, The Newsfield gang (Roger Kean, Oliver Frey, Robin Hogg and Paul Rand) and many more providing talks throughout the weekend and happy to sign memorabillia you may have.

421549 10151444364223211 1126822110 nIt's been a little while since any of us here at Revival have seen any imagery of this VR machine, and to be honest we have never actually seen one for real. So we are really chuffed to announce that this cabinet is coming to Revival for visitors to play on.

This particular model has been lovingly restored by Simon Marston over the last couple of months and is fully working - the images shown are of the cabinet currrenly making Simon's garage its home and in one picture you can see his son playing on it.

The film shows how the creativity and vision of a relatively small number of individuals allowed the UK to play a key, pioneering role in the shaping of the billion dollar video games industry which today, dominates the modern world’s entertainment landscape.

The producers of 'From Bedrooms to Billions' will be coming to Revival to give a preview of this fantastic film and to carry out a Q/A.

A new trailer for the film will be coming out very soon so please watch out for it.
