11:15-- Guest_3363: Saturday was great. Thanks to all who bought the machines and to the centre of computing history, I really enjoyed that line up. A huge selection of items to browse from the traders, spent a good time looking through that lot, and just so happened to come across a ctm 644 Amstrad monitor from the nice people at RockRaBiLia, what a find! Does anyone know who the lads were doing the chip tunes in the bar, and is it available for purchase/download?
13:39-- Morkin: Awesome day yesterday - big slap on the back for everyone involved..! :)
16:10-- Guest_9456: Bit gutted everything was packing up at 4 and pretty much gone by 5! :(
17:13-- SimonLCFC: Fantastic event, both days. Thoroughly enjoyed it, except the bit where I was in the zone playing Tron and somebody switched the machines off!
17:33-- Dave: Great event, thanks to everyone that bought their collections for people to play on. Some wonderful computers and consoles I'd never had the chance to see back in the day.
19:50-- vox: Great day. felt like i was 13 all over again. clocked up some high scores. bought a few bits......checked out the pretty ladies :P
20:42-- Guest_8901: great event on both days. Videos of talks to be available soon?
5:19-- Guest_1966: thanks Chris et al for a great show. A supreme efforts. Looking forward to next time.
19:42-- Guest_8355: How come it all finished up early on Sunday? I thought everything was open til 6?
22:43-- Craig: Glad you all enjoyed it; finishing time was always 5pm on Sunday although there may have been the odd typo here and there. Some exhibitors are forced to leave early depending on their journey time as they had to be at work today, such as guys in Scotland and European visitors. We ensured they did not start until after 4pm though for safety reasons as most people had left by then.
22:45-- Craig: Our official photographer/videographer Paul will be compiling his footage into a special mini-documentary on the event as a type of online souvenir of the event, which will come soon. Until then many visitors have flooded Facebook and YouTube with photos and videos of the best of the event :)
21:36-- Guest_9456: Craig it says 6pm Sunday everywhere I can see even still now. Unfortunately our little party had to make it Sunday only and planned the day such that we'd get some time in on the machines in the main hall 4-6 so you can imagine our disappointment when they started disappearing. Not a massive criticism as I'd still come and pay the same for an event 2 hours long, and the event was otherwise fantastic, but if people are gonna be allowed o
21:37-- Guest_9456: .....bugger off at 4 (because they very very understandably have to) and the place pretty much deserted by 5 then just say!
21:38-- Guest_9456: That soad
21:39-- Guest_9456: that said, my lesson is to definitely come on Saturday, and the event still exceeded expectations by miles so well played to everyone involved, and thanks to everyone who made a massive effort to enable us to come and indulge in a bit of retro!!
21:49-- Chris: Hi there - looking around at times, where did you see it closed at 6pm just for info? On the event page it states 5pm on the Sunday. Glad you enjoyed it though :-)
21:55-- Chris: Ahh I see it on the RG forum - OK , sorry about that.

What is Revival?

545362 365647260192733 912426468 n

Over the weekend of the 18th and 19th May 2013 we launched our first Retro Expo event that we called Revival. The event will be annual going forwards and will be 100% retro - celebrating gaming and nostalgia throughout the 70's, 80's and 90's. We have some great partners in The Retro Computer Museum, The Centre for Computing History and UK Vac and together we plan to annually put on the largest retro only event in the UK.

The Retro Computer Museum is a registered charity dedicated to the benefit of the public for the preservation, display and public experience of computer and console systems from the 1960's onwards.

RCM have systems ranging from the early Pong consoles through the Sega and Nintendo console wars and the home computers of the ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64s and Amigas and will bring a large selection of systems for visitors of Revival to see and play on.

Check out their website here.

The Retro Computer Museum will be bringing their 10-player BomberMan system and projector for some multi-player mahem. In addition to the hands-on systems, the Retro Computer Museum will also be bringing a selection of rare items such as the Jupiter Ace 4000, Dragon Professional Prototype, Playstation Debugging unit etc. - These will be on display and the Retro Computer Museum staff will be happy to talk to you about them.
